There are plenty fun-filled activities you can engage in while you are in Cabo San Lucas, from fishing to swimming and surfing. There is so much to see and eat too. Let’s take a look at two places you would love to visit in Cabo San Lucas.

Land’s End (El Arco)

Land’s End is located in the southern region of Cabo and is placed between Playa del Divorcio and Playa del Amor. The rocks were formed as a result of rough winds and seas of the southern Baja and the peninsula. The Land’s End remains one of the best romantic spots for couples looking to walk down a cool evening and see the sunset in its glory. You will also see a lot of sea lions in the area, especially around the Los Frailes rock formation. The area is awesome. A nice spot for making great photos as it is very picturesque. The best way to see this place is by boarding one of the water taxis or going on a boat tour. You can even get a charter that offers glass-bottom boats which will enable you to have a nice view of the sea life as well.

There are few activities in this area, the place is particularly very quiet and peaceful. You should note that tourists are warned against swimming on the Pacific Ocean side of Land’s End. The sea usually gets very rough and pulls swimmers away from the shore into the ocean. The area has recorded a number of drowning, so it is advised you to leave your swimsuit behind and tour with just your camera. Note that you can’t get to the Land’s End on foot, the easiest way to get there is with a water taxi from downtown marina.

San José del Cabo

San Jose del Cabo is commonly referred to as the “old town”. The town is filled with plenty traditional Mexican charm and luxurious new resorts. The town is the beautiful sister of Cabo San Lucas and the only separation between them is a corridor that is close to the airport. The town is very quiet unlike the noisy Cabo and is filled with plenty shops and plazas for you to shop. You can also visit the beautiful church or indulge in some of their tasty seafood.

You should also check out the town’s square known as plaza Mijares where the mission church and town hall are located. There are also several seafood restaurants and charm shops you can visit in the plaza. There are the nearby Playa Palmilla and Playa Santa Maria which offers beautiful waters and wildlife in case you want to check out the beach or love snorkelling. The town also has some nice golf courses, you can visit the Palmilla Golf Club and enjoy your game in their three nine-hole courses. The town also boasts of some of the best restaurants and eateries in the entire Cabo region, if you are a foodie then you are in for a nice time. San Jose del Cabo is located at about 20 miles northeast of downtown Cabo San Lucas. You can easily get to San Jose del Cabo with a taxi or rented car or you can use the local buses that run between the two towns.
